Del Phyn grew up with the electric guitar riffs of the 70s as a soundtrack: the Stones, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple. Despite being an 80s/90s child, Del Phyn’s musical education was centred around a staple of blues, soul and rock. As young as 7 she was on stage, and would stay there under any pretext: singing, dancing, plays, musicals…
As a young expat she travelled across continents, languages and cultures. She was laying unwittingly the foundations of her unique musical identity. In 2016 things suddenly accelerated, as she renewed her collaboration with a childhood musician friend. First rehearsals, first concerts… Her career is gathering momentum.
Soon after she joins Zy-amm, first as backing singer, then lead singer and composer. Spotted during her first concert by the composer and producer Michel Renia, she wrote with her first solo album L’amour en cachette, featuring the single Pegate with Bobby Surround. with whom she later co-produces her first solo composition “Back at heart”.
At the same time she was composing for Zy-amm and working on a new project with Lolo, the band’s author, composer and lead guitarist. Together they aim to produce one single with videoclip a year: “Can you feel” 2022, “Sing along” 2023 and “Hit my chord” 2024. But it’s mostly on stage that Del Phyn is getting noticed, especially at festivals with the band Zy-amm: Fête de l’espoir, Fêtes de la musique or the Lausanne Afro fusion festival. Her music reflects the melting pot of her life: mix of styles and cultures, and a burning desire to share in her provocative, sensual and rythmic energy.
